Time period: The affected products were sold from August 2022 to February 2023, only in Canada.

Hazard: Health Canada’s sampling and evaluation program has determined that when force is applied to the pacifier, small parts can break off, posing hazard to infants and children. As of February 28, 2023, no incidents or injuries have been reported to Health Canada.

What you should do: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled pacifiers and dispose of them in a manner that renders them unusable. For further information, consumers may directly contact the retailer/importer from whom they purchased the recalled product.

Safety is the essence of FRIGG

In January 2022 we decided to recall our FRIGG Classic and Daisy pacifiers with silicone due to reports of the nipple detaching from the shield. The safety of children is the most important to us, which is why we take this matter very seriously. Safety is and will forever be the essence of our FRIGG pacifiers, and our mission and goal are to always provide what’s best for the children.

When we made the recall happen, we started thinking and working towards a new FRIGG pacifier: How could we improve our pacifiers in order for them to match our high standards?

New and improved silicone pacifier

Firstly, we improved our medical grade silicone nipple by upgrading the surface of the material. The surface of the nipple is now even softer than before – we call it SilkySoft™. Softened silicone has proven to be a safer choice for children’s palate and gums, due to the gentleness of the material. In addition, it minimizes the risk of children developing tension in their head and jaw. Children are also more likely to take a pacifier with a smooth surface rather than a rough one.

Next, we came up with a new and smarter way to assemble our pacifiers. A way that makes them more durable than ever. The 5 pacifier parts are being assembled with a simple click that locks the parts all together, using no force at all – we call this new lock-system the Click-lock™ (patent pending).

The 4-step process of connecting all the pacifier parts ensures that none of the materials will suffer any kind of stress such as high pressure, hard pulls, or pushes.

With these innovative improvements we have taken our FRIGG pacifier to the next level, and we are proud to present a pacifier that stands out on the pacifier market. We will never stop looking for ways to improve our pacifiers, because we simply wish the world to think of safety when they think of FRIGG.
